Data protection policy

We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest. The protection of your personal data is important to us, so please take note of the following information on how we guarantee data protection and what data is collected for what purpose.

Access data and hosting

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. Each time a website is called up, the web server merely automatically saves a so-called server log file which, for example, contains the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of the call, the amount of data transmitted and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the call.

These access data are assessed exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the trouble-free operation of the site and improving our services. Under Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f GDPR, this helps to safeguard our legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our offering, which take priority within the scope of a balancing of interests. All access data will be deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit to the site.

Third-party hosting services

In the context of processing commissioned by us, a third party provider provides us with hosting and website presentation services. This helps to protect our legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our offering, which take priority within the scope of a balancing of interests. All data collected in the context of the use of this website or in the forms provided for this purpose in the online shop as described below are processed on its servers. Processing on other servers only takes place in the context described here.

This service provider will be located within a country of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Data collection and use for contract processing and when opening a customer account

We collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it to us when contacting us (e.g. using the contact form, agreeing a meeting, ordering a catalogue, the S1 configurator, callback or email) or when opening a customer account in the online shop. Mandatory fields are marked as such, because in these cases we require the data for contract processing or for processing your contact and you cannot complete the order or send the contact details without them.

Which data is collected can be seen from the respective input forms. We use the data provided by you in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 let. b GDPR for contract processing and processing your enquiries. After the full processing of the contract, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the expiry of the storage periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond that deadline, which is permitted by law and about which we will inform you in this policy.

Your stored data can be deleted at any time and this can be done by you sending a message to the contact described below.

Data transfer

Your data will only be passed on, within the scope of the performance of the contract in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 let. b GDPR, for processing your enquiries, for marketing purposes, for the optimisation of offers and for use by our services, to subsidiaries of the KLAFS Group, as well as to our service providers and business partners if this is necessary to achieve the respective purpose, if there are no legal restrictions or if you have given your consent. If there is a legal duty to do so, disclosure to public authorities may occur.

We guarantee an appropriate level of data protection in accordance with the GDPR with regard to any transfer to a third party/subsidiary in a contractual relationship with a non-EU country.

Email advertising without registration for the newsletter and your right of objection

If we receive your email address in connection with the sale of a product or service and you have not objected to this, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar products to those already purchased from our range by email on the basis of § 7 (3) UWG. This helps to protect our legitimate interests in an advertising approach to our customers, which take priority in a balancing of interests. You can object to this use of your email address at any time by sending a message to the contact described below or using a link provided for this purpose in the advertising email, without incurring any costs other than the basic-rate transmission costs.

Social media plug-ins

Use of social plugins from Facebook, Google, Twitter using the "2-click solution"

On our website so-called social plugins ("plugins") are used by social networks. In order to increase the protection of your data when you visit our website, the plug-ins are integrated into the site by means of a so-called "2-click solution". This integration ensures that no connection to the servers of the respective social network is established when a page of our website containing such plug-ins is called up. Only when you activate the plugins will your browser establish a direct connection to the servers of the respective social network.  The content of the respective plugin is then transmitted directly to your browser and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the corresponding provider or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a server of the respective provider (if applicable in the USA) and stored there. If you interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the "Like" or "Share" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the providers and stored there. The information is also published on the social network and displayed to your contacts. This helps to safeguard our legitimate interests in an optimal marketing of our offering in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 let. f GDPR, which take priority in the context of a balancing of interests.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers as well as the possibility of contact and your rights and setting options in this regard to protect your privacy can be found in the data protection information of the providers:

The purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers as well as your relevant rights and setting options for the protection of your privacy can be found in the data protection information of Google www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html
