Infrared technic

SensoCare infrared heating technology from Physiotherm.

A little heat often works wonders: The targeted heat treatment of the back area has been known for many years as beneficial, relaxing and pain-relieving. Thanks to KLAFS radiator control technology in cooperation with the specialized company Physiotherm, the infrared bath becomes a very individual experience.

SensoCare infrared heating technology

To ensure that the infrared source can fully develop its beneficial effect and that your skin is not overly stressed, four SensoCare sensors in the infrared heater measure the skin temperature without contact throughout the program and adjust the intensity of the radiation to your body - very gently and completely automatically. This is the ideal way to relax and let the pleasant warmth take effect on your body. The result is individual and consistently safe warming.

The mode of action

Highly recommended by tense backs

  1. Relieves tension in the back
The local heat dilates the blood vessels. Thus hardened muscle parts are better supplied with blood and loosened. It also speeds up the metabolism.
  2. Warming up
The direct penetration of the heat into the body creates a pleasant feeling.
  3. Muscle relaxation
Especially athletes appreciate the mild warming, which relaxes the muscles after training.
  4. Mental relaxation
Infrared is not only good for the body. The mind also comes to rest.
  5. Metabolism stimulation
The whole body and all organs are stimulated to increased activity, so that the entire metabolism is stimulated.

Additional equipment InfraPLUS for sauna

With the additional equipment InfraPLUS you bring the beneficial effect of infrared rays directly into the sauna for the first time, so that an additional cabin is no longer necessary. The infrared seat can be integrated into the existing KLAFS sauna series, blending harmoniously into the design of the sauna cabin.

InfraPLUS Seats

With the InfraPLUS Seats, KLAFS offers you a modular system with which you can realize your individual infrared equipment. Combine two infrared seating units in a grid size of 80 cm. In this way, every infrared dream can come true in a relaxed way: from the small basic unit with two seats, which you can install in any room, to the large one with several rows of seats.

S1 Infrared

Retract, extend, feel soothing warmth: The Infrared S1 from KLAFS is always exactly as big as you want it to be. It is available in two versions, the Infrared S1 SINGLE with one seat and 122 cm width and the Infrared S1 DOUBLE with space for two people and 172 cm width. It can be conveniently connected to any household outlet and operates on alternating current (230 V). Interventions in the electrics before installation are not necessary.

What is infrared?

The prefix "infra", which comes from Latin, translates as "below". The word "infrared" thus means that it refers to a range of electromagnetic radiation that lies below the visible light spectrum. The infrared spectrum is invisible to us and covers the wavelength range from 780 nm to 1,000,000 nm (nanometers). Because of its warming and soothing effect, infrared radiation is often referred to as "thermal radiation".

The special feature of infrared radiation is the non-contact heat transfer of infrared radiation to the skin. Basically, infrared radiation only transports heat and therefore has no effect itself. When infrared rays hit the body, they are basically absorbed by the uppermost layers of the skin, converted into heat and do not penetrate further into the body. The body increases blood flow to the skin to cool it down. The heat can only be transported and distributed in the body by the blood. The skin's heat defense mechanisms are least affected by this form of heat transfer. Infrared radiation can be easily regulated and adapted to the heat absorption capacity of the skin. In this way, automatically regulated infrared radiation can be used to achieve optimal, safe heat penetration.
