ABC of well-being

People today often talk about “well-being”. In Germany, the word most frequently used for well-being is “wellness”. Although the word is borrowed from the English, the Germans have expanded the meaning to embrace both body and soul. First coined in the late 1950s, numerous new words have now sprouted from the original term. Here, KLAFS offers simple definitions of just such words – as well as older words and specialised terminology – from the world of saunas, steam baths and other warm baths.
