Hotel De Blanke Top
Set amid the dunes of Cadzand-Bad, Hotel De Blanke Top is a stylish and welcoming retreat where families, relaxation seekers and bon vivants immediately feel at home. For the creation of its new luxury suites, the hotel enlisted interior architecture studio Heinzel De Vries. The former family apartments were fully transformed into spacious suites where comfort, views and relaxation take centre stage. Each suite includes a private wellness area featuring a tailor-made KLAFS sauna.
Concept & design
The atmosphere in the suites reflects the coastal surroundings. With natural materials, sandy tones and organic forms, the interior feels like a seamless extension of the dune landscape. The KLAFS saunas are fully integrated into this concept, forming a refined architectural wellness feature. Clad in Hemlock Softline – a clean, splinter-free wood that offers exceptional seating and heat comfort – they blend perfectly with the light and serene style of the interiors.
Each sauna features a generous glass front that floods the space with daylight and enhances the sense of openness. Integrated roof windows make optimal use of the sloped ceiling and add a unique architectural touch. Under-bench SUNSET lighting casts a warm, ambient glow. For maximum seating and reclining comfort, the Abachi benches are arranged across three levels.
From the bathtub or sauna, guests enjoy breathtaking views of the sea – a sense of pure freedom, paired with the comfort of complete privacy thanks to subtly placed blinds.
Guests at Hotel De Blanke Top can choose to retreat completely into the privacy of their suite with its own wellness, or enjoy the hotel’s extensive facilities. The KLAFS saunas in the suites offer both: a private moment of calm – in rhythm with the sea.
