Sauna AURA in fully renovated 1990s villa
In Belgian Limburg, a 1990s villa was completely redesigned to become a contemporary haven of comfort and wellness. What began as a simple interior renovation evolved into a complete transformation under the guidance of interior architect Daniël Feytongs. The redesign gave the villa a warm, contemporary character, enhanced by a stronger link to the garden and a dedicated wellness space featuring a stylish KLAFS sauna as its tranquil heart.
The homeowners chose to stay in their beloved neighbourhood, but with a strong desire for more light, luxury and comfort. With respect for the original structure, the villa was entirely reimagined. On the garden side, a new extension was created, specifically designed for wellness and relaxation. In this new extension, GERVI - the official KLAFS retail partner in Belgium - realised a bespoke KLAFS sauna, perfectly aligned with the home’s serene and refined interior concept. The AURA sauna in hemlock veneer features a custom-built integrated window and is equipped with the MAJUS SANARIUM® heater, SUNSET indirect lighting, and MOLLIS® sauna cushions and mattresses.
The style of the KLAFS sauna harmonises beautifully with the rest of the home. A large window in the sauna cabin provides a direct visual connection to the garden, while a sliding panel with wooden slats offers the desired sense of privacy. The result is a space designed for total relaxation, surrounded by nature.
In this villa, architecture, interior design, and wellness blend seamlessly. KLAFS, in collaboration with GERVI, elevates comfort and luxury to a higher level - just as the residents had envisioned.
