On a spacious, rural plot at the edge of the Flemish Ardennes, Edward Sorgeloose Architectuur designed a sleek, single-level pavilion for a young family. The long, single-level villa with warm interior materials blends seamlessly with the gently sloping garden and offers both complete privacy and openness. In the master wing of the home, a dedicated wellness area forms the ultimate place to unwind – with a stylish KLAFS sauna as the undeniable focal point.
The homeowners envisioned a contemporary home with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living. In the bathroom, directly connected to the master bedroom, they opted for a full experience of luxury and relaxation. Here, GERVI – the exclusive retail partner of KLAFS in Belgium – realised a custom-designed KLAFS sauna, fully integrated into the architectural concept. The PREMIUM sauna by KLAFS features vertical hemlock profile slats, an integrated glass front, SUNSET indirect backrest lighting, and BONATHERM under-bench heating with SANARIUM®.
The KLAFS sauna harmonises beautifully with the dark marble-look ceramic finishes found throughout the bathroom. Its design contributes to the serene ambiance of the space, which also includes a freestanding bathtub, walk-in shower, and gold-toned fixtures. The wellness area is, quite literally, the warm heart of this side of the home.
