What a feast for the eyes: Above the rooftops of the city, the owners have created an extravagant penthouse apartment for themselves and their art collection. Of course, the sauna in the bathroom is also an eye-catcher.
The clients always wanted to have their favorite pieces from their collection of modern art around them. That's why they furnished their penthouse apartment in a very modern and puristic way, to create an elegant and restrained ambience in which the exquisite and valuable paintings and sculptures can really work. The clients also implemented this design concept in their wellness bathroom, which adjoins the sleeping area. White Carrara marble as flooring, white Corian as wall and floor covering in the shower area, white piano lacquer furniture - and a designer sauna by Klafs that lives up to its name "Pure".
Award winning sauna design
In the case of the "Pure", the straight-lined, layered interior in particular is fascinating due to fine, precisely processed strips of high-quality hemlock wood, which create a very pure, calm, reduced atmosphere. This unique design concept received high praise from experts - the renowned "iF Product Design Award" in gold.
But the clients' sauna is not only a real work of art visually, it is also anything but ordinary in technical terms. For example, the sauna heater is installed hidden under the sauna bench and thus completely hidden from the eye of the beholder. The colored light module, which is flush-mounted in the sauna ceiling, allows the cabin to be staged in a different way every time - and it is also equipped with the innovative "Lift light" function with a skin-tightening, collagen-forming effect. But the best part: As with their art collection, variety is also provided in the sauna - thanks to the unique, patented "Sanarium" function for five different bathing forms: classic sauna, warm air bath, tropical bath, aroma bath and soft steam bath.
